Known as an energetic and thoughtful leader, Dave Neumann has proven to be a balanced advocate for both communities and businesses since moving to Dallas over 28 years ago.
A 1982 Indiana University graduate with a Business-Finance degree enabled Dave to begin his business career here in Dallas. After eight years of corporate experience (Interfirst Bank and Fidelity Investments) Dave transitioned into a small family-owned business. He owned and operated F. L. Malik Inc. dba Ivy Jane for over 21 years. This combined experience has equipped Dave with tools to understand the many issues faced by small businesses.
The father of two teenagers, Dave deeply appreciates the quality of life and neighborhood issues that most Dallas families face ... no matter how family is defined.
Living in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Kessler Park, Dave also knows firsthand the positive changes underway on his side of the Trinity River.
Economic Development throughout District 3 has provided great opportunities for jobs, new construction, and quality of life improvements.
His leadership roles with the Stemmons Corridor Business Association, Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce and Trinity Commons Foundation further honed his relationships and vision for our future.
Prior to his election, he served on the City of Dallas' Board of Adjustment and as Vice Chairman of the City Plan Commission.

In June, 2007, Dave was elected to represent District 3 on the Dallas City Council. Dave is honored to serve as Chairman of the Trinity River Corridor Project Council Committee. He has promised to continue his advocacy for residents of District 3 while also serving all taxpayers of Dallas.
